The Journey Continues

  • Post comments:6 Comments

It’s so hard to believe that I’ve had this blog for four years! On June 22nd, 2016, I made my first post and what a ride it has been since then.

I’ve been to over 40 countries, 5 continents, and have a million memories stored in my brain (and my phone)! I am nothing less but thankful to the most high for allowing me to experience so much of the world and allowing me to tell the story.

But as life goes, one cannot remain in the same space forever. Travel has and will always be a great love of mine and while I am not leaving it behind, I will be transitioning my blog and online presence into a different realm.

And to be super-transparent, I’ve yo-yoed with this idea for a while, because I didn’t want to confuse people. After all, travel has been my niche the sole content I’ve posted. And then I thought about countless other travel bloggers, that also followed the travel-only style of posts.

For a hot minute doubt crept into my mind. Will I reach the people I want to? What if I lose followers? Will my online travel community still find me useful?

But then God tapped me on my shoulder with a friendly reminder that I needed in my period of doubt: I do not need to conform with the traditional way of doing things…ever!

I have many other parts of my essence that I want to share with the world and now is the time.

You see just like many of you, I’ve been through my fair share of life’s hard knocks. Depression, suicidal thoughts and sleepless nights are all too familiar to me. I am thankful for the people God has placed in my life to help me get through those dark days, and now it’s time to pay it forward.

Over the next few days, weeks, and months I’ll be revealing more of myself with you, my fellow journeyers. My hope is that you would be not only inspired but hopeful in the fact that things happen in our lives to make us stronger, and eventually to help someone else.

I am grateful to say that I am at a point in my journey where I can be transparent in an effort to extend my hand to those that may need it. And if there is one thing I’m certain of, I know this is a true calling on my life to use this voice, and I have to take heed.

Because of this, I decided to write a book. OMG, y’all! I wrote a whole book 🙂

I’m proud to officially introduce to the world, my book baby!

Jada’s Diary: From Growing Pains to Found Promise

If you haven’t already, click here to pre-order the book. You’ll get some extra goodies if you order ahead of the September 12th release date.

I’m so excited to continue this journey with you all, and if you are too, drop me a line in the comments below, so that I know you stopped by. I’m already SUPER GRATEFUL for the number of people that have been showing love. You have no idea how much this means to me.

Cheers to the next phase in my journey and thanks again for being a part of it!

Hey lady, (I like calling you that) what a truly lovely read! The main reason I’m in your feed is because of the shared interest in travel. But over time, I’ve learnt that there’s way more to you than just your travel content hence I’m happy to be a part of your transition moving forward. As always, I wish you the best, and I shall pre order a copy Jada’s diary for my niece as a Xmas gift. With the thousands of people who follow you, thank you for always finding the time to shoot me a reply. God bless!! 🖤
