When I originally planned out my Euro-trip, I dreamed of all the great wines I would have. Weeks prior, when thinking about excursions, I knew it was must that I visit Tuscany. I remember hearing about their vineyards so I was more than thrilled when I found this excursion online.
Kierra and I got to spend an entire day (13 hours) visiting Montepulciano, Montalcino, and Pienza. It was a long day indeed, but a memorable one, as we got to visit the lush countryside of Italy.

Can’t Make These Views Up!
We got a chance to explore the towns and learn a bit of history from the tour guide that we had. What struck me as amazing was how simple these towns were. Everything from the little shops, the homes, and even the people were so quaint.
She Didn’t Speak a Word of English, But When I Said Photo, That Hand Went on Her Hip Real Quick!
After exploring a few adjacent villages and snapping some awesome photos, its was time to head to the main event…THE VINEYARD!!!
Next Stop…The Vineyard!
After about a 45 minute ride, we arrived to a sweet Italian grandmother greeting everyone in the group at the door to the wine cellar.
After being seated we were served an exquisite 3 course lunch, along with a generous sampling of 4 different wines, made on the very grounds from which we dined. This experience was a precious one, because the lunch was hand prepared by our sweet host and with every bite, you could tell it was made with love.
All in all, the day was a great one spent. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone that visits Rome to consider this excurison. It was well worth every penny and I would do it all over again if I had the opportunity.
